Comics are 1 Force Of Expression…
… but the point of this website is not praising comics.
1FOE is a comic review website unlike any other.
First, because it’s geared at readers who are not necessarily comic aficionados, or who don’t know much about comics at all.
This website is targeted towards people who are looking to read a good sequential story, but who also feel at loss regarding what books and graphic novels they might like.
The reviews you’ll find here will all follow a clear cut template, which has been carefully devised with 5 topics in mind, all of which lend to objectivity and succinctness.
As a matter of fact, this introductory review is meant to showcase what 1FOE is really all about the best way possible: through practice.
1 – Why you should check 1FOE out?
This website will help you make informed decisions, whenever you feel like buying comics.
“1 Force of Expression” has been devised as a daily reminder that will keep showing you how much fun can be had reading the funny books – which coincidentally aren’t always that funny to begin with.
Whether you already enjoy reading comics and you’re looking for interesting recommendations, or if you’re just a casual reader looking for some great books to read that use pictures and words in close combination…
you’ll find something here every single day, and every once in a while you’ll learn about books that will really tickle your imagination.
In short, you should check 1FOE out because it will keep reminding you what an awesome force of expression comics can be.
2 – What you may not like about 1FOE…
If you’re a huge comic fan who is completely up do date on all things sequential art-wise, you may find the actual reviews somewhat lacking in depth.
If you’re a “narrow-minded” comic geek – who only likes manga, or who just reads super-hero comics, or who is exclusively interested in just intellectual comics… this may not be your cup of tea.
Because this website is simply about great comics, regardless of the genre or cultural precedence.
In fact, you shouldn’t even think of this as comic book reviews website; it would be more accurately described as a book review website that focuses mostly on books revolving around picture and words working together towards inextricable conundrum.
3 – Something unique about 1FOE!
The serious reviews in this comic review website are meant to be extremely objective and succinct.
The point of each review is helping you understand whether you’ll like a book or not, and whether or not you can just pick up a book and enjoy it without additional information – simple as that.
To this effect, you won’t be asked to sit through intricate descriptions and overly technical considerations.
All reviews will follow this same template, with one purpose in mind: to recommend fun comics which you seriously should consider reading.
Because if you don’t, you’ll be missing on quite amazing books.
4 – Where to buy 1FOE or learn more about it:
Well… since this is an open website, you don’t really have to buy it!
That’s good news, right? Means you can save your money to actually buy more those books we’re always talking about here.
Additionally, whenever you choose buying anything that’s recommended here, you’ll be making a contribution to 1FOE, since the seller (such as Amazon) will give us a small cut of the sale.
How cool is that? You actually get to support this website without spending a dime, and you get to support the comics industry all at once (and let’s face it… the industry needs some supporting, and so does the nice, charming person behind these reviews).
5 – Share your opinion on 1FOE with us!
Even though the reviews are meant to be highly objective and succinct, the comments sections aren’t!
In fact, the comments section is supposed to be the place where you can write your own mini-reviews, or leave your snide remarks or witty comments or whatever gets you going.
Just remember… the only thing worse than making a lousy, unappreciative or blunt comment – is making no comment at all. If there are no comments, the author will feel rather lonely and that won’t really entice him to write further reviews, will it?
With that in mind, you may was well go ahead and write some opinions right away, right?
